BIOGRAPHY

 

 

Delia Camasca started her career in media as a Broadcast Television Producer working on local news affiliate stations with Univision and Telemundo networks. She's been an On- Air Correspondent for WPIX-TV Channel 11 for a public affairs program called "Best Talk on Location." While at Channel 11 she was also an Associate Producer on a show that won an Emmy award for "Best Local Public Affairs" program.  Ms. Camasca spent several years producing documentaries for PBS- WNET Channel 13.  She's been an instructor at Center for the Media Arts and a member of the Writer's Guild of America and American Federation of Television and Radio Artists.

 

In the late 90's Ms. Camasca transitioned into the field of Human Resources. Her career has included managing all aspects of HR and staffing.  She’s recruited all levels of marketing, new media, advertising, editorial, news, journalists, broadcast and cable production staff and creative professionals. The last 7 years she has specialized in Talent Acquisition recruiting top talent for media giants such as NBC Universal, Disney ABC Media Networks, Lifetime Networks, and Warner Brothers/DC Comics.

 

While at NBC Universal, she was the Manager of Campus Relations where she managed a bicoastal team to recruit, place, train and coach thousands of interns a year.  As an independent Career Coach and Contract Corporate Recruiter, she specializes in working with media professionals.  Most recently she served as a consultant for DataXu, an advertising media technology company and is currently consulting for HBO.  She is active on LinkedIn, Facebook and Twitter- @tvmediacareers and has a website tvmediacareers.com.

 

Delia holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Communications from St. John's University and has taken extensive Human Resources courses with the American Management Association and Cornell University's School of Industrial and Labor Relations.  She’s currently pursuing a certificate in Digital Media Marketing at New York University.
